Glan-Y-Gors S1 and Stars

With the Super 1 and Formula Kart Stars rounds at Glan-Y-Gors on consecutive weekends, Eclipse took the opportunity to get in some practice prior to the national series, by attending the club meeting the week prior. Despite Connor Hall never having driven at G-Y-G before he managed to win both heats with a back on form Enaam Ahmed in second and Ellis fourth. Hall started the final from pole and after being forced off the track a couple of times he finished 2nd, with Ellis 4th and Enaam 6th.

The following weekend at the Super 1 race the practice the previous weekend paid dividends with Ellis and Enaam 1st and 2nd in timed qualifying. The weather was a mixture of sun and showers and Enaam managed to finish 3rd after leading the first heat and Jamie Caroline won the second heat. In the pre-final, Enaam finished 4th, with Ellis 7th, Hall 9th off a 27th place start with Caroline and York failing to finish. In the Grand Final Jamie Caroline drove a storming race from 27th on the grid to finish 2nd, with Connor Hall not far behind in 4th, Enaam 7th, Ellis 14th and York 17th.

A week later and we were back to GYG again this time for the Formula Kart Stars rounds 5 and 6. In round 5 after some strong performances in the heats the A-final ended with York 6th, Ellis 12th, Enaam 18th, Roberts 22nd and Caroline failing to finish. Round 6 was again a day of mixed fortunes, with Jamie Caroline ending in 7th, Cameron Roberts 11th, Oliver York 14th and Enaam Ahmed failing to finish in the A-final.
