Cameron Roberts Wins at Whilton

The June club round at Whilton Mill provided an opportunity for Eclipse driver Cameron Roberts to get in some practice prior to competing in the forthcoming Stars race.

Cameron was on form all weekend taking two heat wins and an a 9th place against strong competition from the Fusion team, the other regular Stars competitors and the local club drivers to line up 4th on the grid for the final. Cameron took the lead on the 2nd lap only to lose it again three laps later before re-asserting his position at the front on lap 10 and taking a well deserved win.

Eclipse team driver Max Bird after being taken out in one of his heats lined up 15th on the grid, and despite putting in some quick laps could not match the pace of the leaders and finished 11th to maintain his 2nd place in the Whilton Club championship.and
